J5 Method

How I sell

Four gears, in this order, on every patch.

  1. Find

Happy walking in cold. I learned on the phones at Everest, then built a £750k pipeline in five months at Thomas Ridley.

    • New business
    • Pipeline
  2. Win

Proposals, tenders and presentations that answer what the buyer needs. Regional tenders and supply deals at Speciality Breads.

    • Tender negotiation
    • Trade shows
  3. Grow

Joint business plans with wholesalers, and work with culinary and national account teams. About £2.5m of regional growth.

    • Account management
    • Forecasting
    • Joint business plans
    • Cross-team work
  4. Keep

The second order matters more than the first. Recurring contracts at DJR came from relationships, and I stay in touch.
